I’ve worked at some stations that have charged $40+ for tickets to their premiere yearly concert…meanwhile “Bite” runs $9 a ticket. O.A.R., Michelle Branch, Mat Kearney, Colbie Caillat, among others, graced the stage this year. Not to mention aisles of booths featuring the best restaurants in town. All said, over 20,000 people were at the show…

I got a chance to sit down with several artists including the incredibly beautiful, and funny, Michelle Branch! Check out the interview, and go to the Bite show page to see more coverage. The show brought us our biggest web traffic day to date, and our staff got pictures and video up extremely quickly this year. Very proud of everyone!

It has been an unbelievable year at Mix 94.1! 2011 has brought some great success for us…and now we are breaking records!

The latest numbers have Mix 94.1 #1 6+, with a 7.7 share. That is the highest share the station has received 6+ in PPM history, and it looks like the highest 6+ in Las Vegas PPM history. Incredible. The station from top to bottom has been on fire, with the September book bringing 24 #1′s in all the demos that count.

As far as my show on Afternoons, I couldn’t be happier! September brought #1 rankings 12+, P&W18-34, P&W25-54 and W18-49! For the third quarter rolling average, number one in all of those rankings as well!

We are a little over a week away from Mix 94.1′s Bite Of Las Vegas, and we are going into it with a full head of steam! I am extremely thankful…

It’s interesting what goes into a design. I re-created my logo for my new business card (seen above). I loved the shape of the custom business card size that I purchased, so I modeled the logo around that…adding the “speech bubble” to it.

With a redesigned business card must come a redesigned website…so here we are! The design is still a work in progress, but expect to see more video features and updates to the page as it continues it’s metamorphosis.

Thanks for stopping by!

Returning to Mix 94.1 has been like coming home…and to say it’s been going well would be an understatement!

Summers are usually a slow time for Mix, with families hitting the road for vacations. However, this summer has definitely been an exception. From top to bottom, the station has been dominating, with August giving us #1′s P&W25-54, P&W18-49, and the coveted #1 6+ with a 7-share (compare that with a 4.8 (6th) back in March). It’s an incredible time to be with the station.

My show especially has seen some great growth, especially with our core demographic, Persons 25-54. Share has gone up 2 points since April, and the show has been #1 since January.

Combine that with great programming and promotions, and being on the cusp of our big “Bite Of Las Vegas” show in October, and things should continue to be great!

I am so happy to be a part of the team here. Especially considering what we are able to accomplish with a fraction of the people afforded to markets above us.

Along with my co-host Dao Vu and Producers Julie Pyle and Micah Manalo, we’ve were able to launch KTNV-TV’s “The Morning Blend” in June of 2010. And within a year make it the most successful sales-integration show for Journal Broadcast Group. Now, I’m glad to announce I’ll be sticking around for a bit!

Las Vegas’ ABC affiliate has re-signed me to a new contract for an additional two years to co-host the “Blend”.

I am very happy I get to continue to host the show, which has been making great headway with morning viewers. More and more often, I bump into viewers of the show who have made us part of their morning routine, which is incredibly humbling.

The “Blend” staff is a small, hard-working bunch and I am amazed at what we are able to pull off every day, considering the limited staff. Everyone from the studio crew to the interns work their butt off every morning…glad I can continue to be a part of it.
