READY TO BUY A BETTER ALARM CLOCK

Since I was a kid, I’ve wanted to be on television or radio – and today I get to do both. For nearly a decade, I have hosted a daily morning television show on the ABC affiliate in Las Vegas, along with being the longest-tenured afternoon show host on Mix 94.1, bringing the show, and station, to new heights.

I am ready for a new challenge: Morning Radio.

There is no better medium than radio to create that emotional connection with your market, and I am ready to work my ass off to create a sticky show that will have listeners returning again and again, on-air, online and on-demand. A show that is hilarious, has heart, and listeners can relate with.

THE MAN BEHIND THE FOREHEAD

I started listening to radio because my mom said not to (Kiss 108 is “evil music”). I entered public access when I was 8 years old, started making airchecks with a Sing-a-lodeon when I was 12 (and would hand them to my music teacher to critique), and started producing my own music video TV show when I was 14.

I’ve known my wife since I was 15, but we didn’t date until 2010. Early on, I went to visit her apartment 7 hours away from my house, but I ended up crapping my pants on my way there (literally), followed by my car doing the same thing only minutes later. She had to pick me up with stained shorts. Now we are married, and have two kids, two cats, a dog and a mortgage. She obviously has terrible judgement.

Speaking of the kids – they is awesome. Colin, born in 2016, Mario born a couple years later. After years of trying and two miscarriages, we finally crossed the finish line and have two healthy, large domed kids. That’s how I know they are mine.

Nerd? Yeah. About everything. I built this website. I built the computer it’s on. I love tech, podcasts, my Chevy Volt, my affinity for the old-school Nickelodeon game show “Double Dare“, and I own Marty McFly’s outfit from “Back To The Future 2“.

I end up being “the mayor” at practically every job I’ve held. I love talking to people, getting to know (and tell) their stories, and making them laugh.

Also, I am the 2006 Time Magazine Person Of The Year, which has been the biggest honor of my professional career (besides the Emmy nom and getting store employee of the month at Sam Goody one time).

SOCIALLY UNACCEPTABLE

BRINGING FACEBOOK LIVE TO THE NEXT LEVEL

Since February 2019, I have produced a daily, hyper-interactive Facebook Live show along with my afternoon radio show called #Free4All!

It captures listeners that might be hanging around Facebook and not listening. More face time hasn’t hurt, with ratings increasing, video views on the station’s Facebook page growing exponentially, and the product being widely regarded as the best adaptation of video in a radio studio.

The opportunity for logo inclusion and sales integration is through the roof, and clips from the show have already garnered interest from clients!

Best of all – it’s all mine! It comes with me wherever I go! The potential for this to create viral, shareable clips and more importantly, create a new revenue stream, is immeasurable.

WHAT I’VE BEEN UP TO.

“(Shawn’s #Free4All) is a god damn masterpiece. Everything about it from a production standpoint is completely top of the line, and should be what ever station strives for in their videos. You’re truly the bar every station in the country is trying to reach.”

Garrett, Program Director in Ohio

“Shawn is one of the most creative on-air talent I’ve ever worked with… It is hard to imagine doing the show without him.”

Jim Koonce, Creative Service Director, KTNV-TV Las Vegas

“Shawn shows tremendous respect for the people he works with and people he comes in contact with outside the station.”

Julie Pyle, Executive Producer of The Morning Blend, KTNV-TV Las Vegas

“(Shawn’s #Free4All) is top notch and is where we all should be moving towards as radio evolves.”

J. In Nevada

“Tempesta out-Reeges Reege. Hyperactive as a puppy on a sugar high, Tempesta is just as amusing… flashing a smile that threatens to fracture his face.”

Steve Bornfeld, Las Vegas Review Journal

“Shawn goes out of his way to make everyone who appears on the show feel like a star… He’s the on-air glue that holds a show together.”

Julie Pyle, Executive Producer of The Morning Blend, KTNV-TV Las Vegas
