BOSTON, MA – Well… what can I say. I’m good.
It was at a live shoot in May, covering the So You Think You Can Dance season six auditions in Boston, where I decided we should do a “dance-off” live, on-air. So I scoured the crowd to find a couple people that wouldn’t mind dancing live on TV.
The contestants? Marcus, a dancer who drove 1,001 miles (exactly) to Boston for the audition. The other contestant? A kid from Roxbury, MA named Russell Ferguson. He and his friends were there in line, and Russell was more than ready for the battle.
Now, Marcus held his own, but Russell did what he does best, and crumped up a storm, and winning the dance-off. (As seen in the video below)
Minutes later, Russell walked into the audition, and the rest is history.
So I discovered him before he went on to win it. Like I said…I’m good. (Or maybe, just maybe, I am lucky…nah.)
