She’s been my longest relationship (beating out my wife by a whole two months). “The Morning Blend” on KTNV Channel 13 in Las Vegas just celebrated seven years on the show. Where the heck did the time go?!
Thinking back to 2010 is a trip! Producers Julie Pyle and Micah Manalo, along with myself, calling every non-profit we could find to fill the schedule while we waited for the shows to book up. Doing a promo shoot inside Vegas Indoor Skydiving and having my mic pack fall off, go through the mesh, and hit a propeller going mach 2. Talking about loan modifications and short sales in one of the hardest hit economies in the country.
Fast forward to now? World of difference! An incredible co-host by my side in the amazing JJ Snyder, Vegas’ housing crisis has turned into a boom again, and I haven’t broken a single piece of equipment since!
Truly, I cannot explain how blessed I have been with this job, working with wonderful people and making entertaining television day in and day out. Thank you so much to the E.W. Scripps family for allowing me to help build the franchise into what it is today. Here’s to another 7!
